The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house having a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for click here the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
